Saint Joseph Cathedral, San Jose Wedding
This was a very elegant wedding, in downtown San Jose. The ceremony was at the Saint Joseph Cathedral, and the reception at the Fairmont Hotel. Fabulous makeup and hair, by Fiona Tsang, of Imagi by Fiona. The couple also had a "Day After" photo session, which is a fantastic way to get many more interesting and creative wedding photos of just bride and groom, than would be possible in a typical hectic wedding-day schedule. A few favorite images from both days follow...

Moments before the wedding ceremony, the bride, attendants and ring bearer await their cue... The Saint Joseph Cathedral is one of the more stunning churches in San Jose. There is also a beautiful pipe organ, which echoes from the domed ceilings, sounding as if it is coming from the heavens. The effect is awe-inspiring!

After the wedding ceremony, it was just a short walk to The Fairmont Hotel, for a grand celebration. Gotta love those details... amazing floral creations and lighting set the stage, and one of the best live bands available for weddings, kept the dance floor full most of the night! A few images from the celebration...

Grand Introductions led right into the couple's first dance.

As mentioned earlier, this couple had me the very next day, for a "Day After" photo-session. We returned to downtown San Jose, and did a marathon photography session with just the bride and groom. We took a great variety of portraits, ranging from highly choreographed shots, where I gave them lots of direction, to very free-flowing action-oriented photography, which was quite spontaneous. When done correctly, both approaches result in photographs that are very natural and relaxed looking. And finally, here are a few pics from the Day After wedding photography session...

We roamed around downtown San Jose, taking many cool photos at the Adobe Campus, San Jose Museum of Art, The Tech Museum, Saint Claire Hotel and even a few secret spots in between all those. I hope you enjoy looking at the results of our efforts!
