Wedding Clients Can Become Family Portrait Clients...
April 14th, 2007Steve and Cherie Kilian's wedding was not so long ago. At least it feels that way. Time has ways of passing by quicker than I realize... Anyway, it seems like when they had me photograph their wedding was just a couple years ago. It was a pleasant surprise, and a reminder of how fast time is passing, when they asked me to create family portraits for them. Their son, Jack, was already about 2 years old, and the second child was expected in a few weeks! We had a great time capturing images of the three (actually four!) of them, at Natural Bridges State Beach, in Santa Cruz. Here they are...

Erin and Aaron are "E" for Engaged!
April 11th, 2007I had the pleasure of working with Erin, and her fiance, Aaron, last Sunday.
We did their engagement portraits, in and around Santa Cruz. Many people feel a bit aprehensive about being photographed, and it took a bit of encouragement, to get them to actually take advantage of my offer for the engagement session, but after they saw the results online, Erin emailed this message to me:
Hi Mark,
Aaron and I looked at our photos last night, and we love them! Thank you so much for convincing us to do them, no regrets. You did a wonderful job. I look forward to seeing your amazing photos of our wedding.
Thanks again,
Erin
We won't have to wait long to see their wedding photos, because the wedding is coming right up, on Tuesday, May 1st!
Here are a few shots from their engagement session:

My thanks to Aaron and Erin, for a great photo-session. I too, am looking forward to the wedding!
Corinna and Matt's Weding Album
April 9th, 2007I am now working with Matt and Corinna, to design and produce what promises to be one of my best wedding albums so far! My thanks to both of them for allowing me to photograph their wedding, and selecting a great collection of images for me to use in the design of their album. When Corinna first came to me, with her list of favorite shots, she had something like 300 photos to put into the album! I considered that a real compliment, but suggested that they try to be more selective, just to keep the size and weight of the finished album manageable. The album will have single pages measuring 12"x12", and the panoramic two-page layouts will be 12"x24". Here are some of the pages.

Wedding - The Inn at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach
April 9th, 2007had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Charlene and Jordon, a truly wonderful couple to work with! It went like this: Charlene and her sister getting ready, at Monterey Plaza Hotel; church ceremony in Monterey; fun photos of the couple after the ceremony, along Seventeen Mile Drive, in Pebble Beach; reception at The Inn at Spanish Bay. Some selected shots from their day are here...
